Stephen Taiye Balogun, MBBS (Ilorin), CSSGB, FISQua, Cert. Data Scientist (John Hopkins)Stephen doubles as a Medical Officer and the Quality Improvement Team Leader in the Hospital. He graduated from the “better by far” university in 2010. He is a fellow of the International Society for Quality Healthcare (ISQua), a member of the Society for Quality Healthcare in Nigeria (SQHN), a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt expert, and holds a certificate in Data Science from John Hopkins University. He is currently rounding up his MPH programme with the University of Ilorin.

He has taken several courses in healthcare improvement including the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) courses for healthcare professionals, and the Royal College of Surgeon Ireland Institute of Leadership courses on patient safety.

He is a founding member of the WHO Global Learning Laboratory (GLL) for Quality Universal Health Coverage (QHC), and a Country Representative for Health Information for All (HIFA). He recently bagged the HIFA Country Representative of the year 2016. He has passion for improving the quality of health care delivery in the country.

At free time, he enjoys data visualization and modelling using R statistical programming software, front-end web designing, graphics designing, teaching, and reading.
